Come Taste the Band is the ninth studio album by the English rock band Deep Purple, released in 1975. It marked the first and only album to feature guitarist Tommy Bolin, who brought a different sound and style to the band. The album blends hard rock with elements of funk and jazz, showcasing the band's willingness to experiment with their musical direction. Despite mixed reviews at the time of its release, it has gained a cult following and is often regarded as an underrated gem in the Deep Purple discography. The album's sound is characterized by Bolin's innovative guitar work, complemented by the band's established musicianship, including the powerful vocals of David Coverdale and the dynamic keyboard arrangements of Jon Lord.
