Spirit is the fourth and final studio album by the English gothic rock band Bauhaus, released in 1989. The album showcases a shift towards a more experimental sound, incorporating elements of alternative rock and electronic music. It features haunting melodies, dark lyrical themes, and the iconic baritone voice of lead singer Peter Murphy. Although it did not achieve the commercial success of earlier releases, Spirit is noted for its artistic ambition and remains a significant work in the band's discography, influencing various artists in the post-punk and gothic rock genres.
