The visionary Icelandic artist Björk is bringing her avant-garde sensibilities to the world of gaming. Her 1993 hit "Human Behaviour" is the centerpiece of a brand-new cinematic trailer for SEED, an ambitious sci-fi multiplayer "society simulator" developed by Klang Games.

Revealed during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2026, SEED transports players to the planet Avesta, a rugged new frontier for humanity. Unlike traditional MMOs, the game emphasizes a player-driven existence where every object—from basic furniture to complex machinery—is crafted, traded, and utilized by the community.

In SEED, players manage "Seedlings," the inhabitants of this new world. The gameplay revolves around high-stakes social collaboration: if players fail to produce food, the colony starves; if they don't build infrastructure, there is no shelter. The world is "always-on," meaning society continues to evolve and face challenges even when individual players are offline.

Björk, long known for her fascination with the intersection of nature and technology, shared her excitement for the project on social media. "I am so thrilled my song is in this game SEED," she posted. "Congratulations everyone!!! Warmth, Björk."

The choice of "Human Behaviour" provides a fittingly primal yet futuristic backdrop for a game that asks players to rebuild civilization from the ground up. With a player-governed political system and a completely player-run economy, SEED aims to be more than just a survival game—it’s a digital experiment in human cooperation.

SEED is currently in development at Berlin-based Klang Games. While a firm release date has yet to be announced, the new trailer offers the most vivid look yet at the beautiful, demanding life awaiting players on Avesta.
