British rock giants Muse have officially announced their tenth studio album, The WOW! Signal, delivering one of the most unconventional album reveals in recent memory—by launching it into space.

The band unveiled the record through a partnership with a high-altitude aerospace project, sending a specially designed device more than 20 miles above Earth’s surface to premiere the video for the lead single “Be With You.” The ambitious stunt reflects the group’s long-standing fascination with science fiction, technology, and the unknown.

The WOW! Signal is scheduled for release on June 26, 2026, via Warner Records and serves as the follow-up to 2022’s Will Of The People.

The album’s title is inspired by the famous 1977 “Wow! signal,” a mysterious radio burst detected from deep space that has fueled decades of speculation about extraterrestrial life. That concept plays heavily into the new record’s themes, which have been described as blending cosmic mystery, existential reflection, and the possibility of contact beyond Earth.

Musically, the album continues to build on the band’s fusion of alternative rock, electronic elements, and progressive influences. It will include the previously released single “Unravelling” along with the newly unveiled track “Be With You,” both of which hint at a cinematic and expansive sonic direction.

The record marks another chapter in Muse’s evolution, following decades of pushing boundaries both sonically and visually. With The WOW! Signal, the band once again leans into grand concepts and spectacle—this time quite literally reaching beyond Earth to introduce their next era.
