The Mars Volta Announce Career-Spanning 2026 U.S. Tour

By jason April 8, 2026
Experimental rock veterans The Mars Volta have announced a limited U.S. tour for 2026 that will feature a setlist covering material from across the band’s entire catalog. The run marks the group’s first U.S. trek of the year and follows their recent tour where they performed their latest album in full.

Unlike the previous tour, which focused heavily on the band’s newest material, the upcoming shows will revisit songs from throughout their more than two-decade career. Fans can expect selections spanning classic albums such as De-Loused in the Comatorium and Frances the Mute alongside newer material.

The brief run is scheduled to begin September 8 in Ventura, California, before heading through several cities across the Southwest and the Southeast. The band will also make a high-profile appearance opening for My Chemical Romance at the Alamodome in San Antonio and will perform at the Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky.

Tickets for most shows are expected to go on sale in April, with presale opportunities available through the band’s mailing list prior to the general on-sale date.
