The group was founded by guitarist and vocalist Tierinii Jackson and her sister, drummer Tikyra Jackson, alongside guitarist and vocalist Shardé Thomas, who is the granddaughter of the legendary blues musician R.L. Burnside. The band quickly gained traction with their energetic performances and unique blend of Southern soul, blues, and rock influences, leading to a self-titled debut album released in 2017.
