Cave In is an American rock band formed in 1995 in Methuen, Massachusetts. The original lineup consisted of vocalist and guitarist Stephen Brodsky, bassist Caleb Scofield, drummer J.R. Conners, and guitarist Adam McGrath. The band's early music was heavily influenced by the hardcore punk and metal genres, and they quickly gained a following in the underground scene. Their debut album, 'Until Your Heart Stops,' was released in 1998 and showcased a mix of metalcore and experimental rock. Over the years, Cave In has undergone several lineup changes and stylistic shifts, incorporating elements of post-rock, alternative rock, and progressive rock. The band's sound evolved significantly with the release of 'Antenna' in 2003, which featured a more melodic and accessible style. Following a hiatus in the late 2000s, Cave In reunited in 2011 and has since continued to produce new music and tour.
