Kajagoogoo is a British new wave band formed in 1979 in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. The original lineup consisted of Limahl (lead vocals), Nick Beggs (bass guitar, vocals), Stuart Croxford Neale (guitar, keyboards), and Jez Strode (drums). They achieved mainstream success in the early 1980s with their debut single 'Too Shy', which topped the UK Singles Chart in 1983. Their sound was characterized by catchy hooks, synthesizers, and a distinct visual style, heavily influenced by the new wave movement. After releasing their debut album 'White Feathers' in 1983, tensions within the band led to Limahl's departure in 1985. The band continued to perform and release music with varying levels of success until their eventual disbandment in 1990.
