Lake Street Dive

Lake Street Dive was formed in 2004 in Boston, Massachusetts, by a group of students at the New England Conservatory of Music. The band originally started as a jazz ensemble, performing at local clubs and events. Over the years, their sound evolved to incorporate elements of pop, rock, soul, and country, which helped them gain a broader audience. They gained significant attention after their 2012 cover of 'I Want You Back' by The Jackson 5 went viral on YouTube. The band has since released several albums and gained a reputation for their energetic live performances and tight harmonies.

Lake Street Dive consists of four members: Rachael Price (lead vocals, guitar), Bridget Kearney (double bass, vocals), Mike Olson (trumpet, guitar, vocals), and Jaron Olevsky (piano, organ, vocals). They are known for their engaging and dynamic live performances, which often feature improvisation. The band's name comes from a street in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where Olson lived and played music. They have developed a dedicated fan base and have played at major music festivals, including Bonnaroo and Newport Folk Festival.
