Modern Baseball is an American rock band formed in 2011 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, by childhood friends Brendan Lukens and Jake Ewald. They started as a DIY project while attending high school and quickly gained attention for their blend of emo, pop punk, and indie rock. The band released their debut album, 'Sports', in 2012, which quickly became a landmark release in the emo revival. They continued to build their reputation with subsequent albums, including 'You're Gonna Miss It All' (2014) and 'Holy Ghost' (2016). In 2017, the band announced an indefinite hiatus, allowing members to focus on personal issues and side projects, but they reunited for a short tour in 2021.
