Big Star

Big Star was an American rock band formed in 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee. The band was founded by Alex Chilton, Chris Bell, Andy Hummell, and Jody Stephens. They released three albums in the 1970s: '#1 Record' (1972), 'Radio City' (1974), and 'Third/Sister Lovers' (1975). Despite their limited commercial success during their initial run, Big Star's music gained significant acclaim over the years, influencing a wide range of artists and genres. The band went through various lineup changes and disbanded in the late 1970s. They reunited in the 1990s, with Alex Chilton and Jody Stephens, releasing new material and performing live until Chilton's death in 2010.
