Zeal & Ardor

Zeal & Ardor is a musical project founded by Swiss musician Manuel Gagneux in 2013. The project began as a solo endeavor but quickly evolved into a full band. Gagneux's unique fusion of black metal and gospel music was inspired by the concept of what would happen if African slaves had practiced their own religion. The band's self-titled debut album was released in 2014, gaining attention for its innovative sound. With the release of their second album, 'Devil is Fine,' in 2017, Zeal & Ardor garnered critical acclaim and a growing fanbase, leading to extensive touring and participation in major music festivals.
