The Alarm

The Alarm is a Welsh rock band formed in 1981 in Rhyl, North Wales. Originally known as 'The Alarm Alarm', the band gained recognition for their anthemic sound and socially conscious lyrics. They first achieved major success in the UK with their debut album, 'Declaration', released in 1984, which included hits like '68 Guns' and 'Where Were You Hiding When the Storm Broke?'. Over the years, The Alarm went through various lineup changes and periods of hiatus, but they have continued to release music and tour, maintaining a dedicated fan base.

The Alarm's music is influenced by a wide range of genres, including punk rock, new wave, and folk rock. Mike Peters is also known for his battle with cancer, which he has openly discussed, and he founded the charity Love Hope Strength to support cancer patients.
