Arcturus

Arcturus is a Norwegian avant-garde metal band formed in 1990 in Oslo. The band initially started as a black metal act but gradually evolved their sound to incorporate a wide range of genres, including progressive rock, electronic music, and orchestral elements. They gained a cult following with their debut album 'Aspera Hiems Symfonia' in 1995, which showcased their innovative approach to metal. Over the years, the band underwent several lineup changes, with key members like vocalist Garm (Kristoffer Rygg) and bassist Hellhammer (Jan Axel Blomberg) contributing to their distinctive sound.
