HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR

HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR is a Japanese rock band formed in 2003 in Okinawa, Japan. The band initially gained attention for their energetic fusion of rock, pop, and punk elements, characterized by strong vocals from both male and female members. They debuted with the single 'Shock of the New World' in 2005, which was well-received. The band became widely known after contributing the song 'Hana wa Saku' to the anime series 'Bleach'. Over the years, HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR has undergone several lineup changes, particularly in the vocal department, but has maintained a distinct sound and loyal fanbase. The band went on hiatus in 2010 but reunited in 2016 for a special concert and has since returned to active performance and recording.

Miki left the band in 2008, leading to the introduction of a new female vocalist, Hitsuji. The band's unique approach to music includes the use of both male and female vocals, creating a dynamic and engaging sound. HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR is well-known for their energetic live performances and has participated in various music festivals across Japan. Their fanbase, known as 'HMC Family', remains dedicated despite the band's hiatus.
