Mclusky was formed in 1994 in Cardiff, Wales, originally as a trio consisting of Andy Falkous (vocals, guitar), Jon Chapple (bass, vocals), and Matthew 'Matty' Ashman (drums). The band gained a cult following due to their unique blend of noise rock and post-hardcore, characterized by sardonic lyrics and aggressive instrumentation. They released their debut album, 'My Pain and Sadness Is More Sad and Painful Than Yours,' in 1999. Following lineup changes, including the departure of Ashman and the addition of drummer Dafydd Leuan, Mclusky released two more albums, 'Do Dallas' (2002) and 'The Difference Between Me and You Is That I'm Not on Fire' (2004). The band went on hiatus in 2005 but briefly reunited for performances in 2013 and 2014 before officially disbanding.
