Dum Dum Girls

Dum Dum Girls is an American indie rock band formed in Los Angeles in 2008. The band was initially a solo project of singer-songwriter Dee Dee Penny (formerly known as Kristen Gundred), who recorded their debut EP, 'The Dum Dum Girls,' in her home. The project evolved into a full band with the addition of members Jules (guitar), Malia (bass), and Bambi (drums). The band's lo-fi sound, characterized by jangly guitars and melodic harmonies, drew attention from the music community, especially after their debut album, 'I Will Be,' was released in 2010. The band gained further acclaim with subsequent albums, showcasing a more polished sound while maintaining their signature style. However, in 2018, Dee Dee announced the band was on indefinite hiatus.
