Fuel is an American rock band formed in 1994 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The original lineup consisted of Brett Scallions (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Carl Bell (lead guitar, backing vocals), Jeff Abercrombie (bass guitar), and Kevin Miller (drums). They gained significant attention in the late 1990s with their debut album 'Sunburn' released in 1998, which included hits like 'Shimmer' and 'Bittersweet.' The band's sound is characterized by a blend of post-grunge and alternative rock, and they achieved further commercial success with their sophomore album 'Something Like Human' in 2000, featuring popular tracks such as 'Hemorrhage (In My Hands).' Over the years, Fuel has gone through various lineup changes, with Scallions being the most constant member. Despite a hiatus from 2006 to 2010, the band has continued to tour and release new music.

Fuel has cited a variety of influences that shape their sound, including alternative rock bands from the 1990s like Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots, as well as classic rock artists such as Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith.
