The Districts

The Districts formed in 2009 in Lititz, Pennsylvania, when high school friends Rob Grote (vocals, guitar), Connor Jacobsen (guitar, backing vocals), and Pat McGlynn (bass) teamed up with drummer Braden Lawrence. They initially gained attention with their energetic live performances and a raw, emotive sound that blended elements of rock, folk, and indie music. Their debut album, 'Telephone', was released in 2013, showcasing their early style and garnering a local following. In subsequent years, they signed with Fat Possum Records and released several critically acclaimed albums, including 'A Flourish and a Spoil' (2015) and 'Popular Manipulations' (2017). The band has continued to evolve their sound, incorporating more polished production and diverse musical influences in their work.
