Engine Down

Engine Down was formed in 1996 in Richmond, Virginia. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Andrew Wells, guitarist and vocalist Jason T. W. R. Laderach, bassist and vocalist Karl D. B. M. W. Jones, and drummer and percussionist Brian D. M. W. Jones. They gained a following in the post-hardcore and emo scenes during the late 1990s and early 2000s, known for their dynamic sound that blends elements of punk rock, indie rock, and alternative rock. The band released several albums, toured extensively, and developed a reputation for their engaging live performances. Engine Down went on hiatus in 2005 but reunited for various performances in subsequent years before officially disbanding in 2019.
