Benthic Realm

Benthic Realm formed in 2015 in Seattle, Washington, when a group of college friends decided to merge their diverse musical backgrounds into a singular sound. Initially performing at local open mics, their unique blend of ambient rock and experimental pop quickly gained traction. The band released their debut EP, 'Depths of Sound', in 2016, which showcased their ethereal soundscapes and intricate arrangements. Over the years, they have toured extensively across the United States and Europe, building a dedicated fanbase and earning critical acclaim for their live performances.

Benthic Realm draws inspiration from a variety of musical genres and artists, including the atmospheric soundscapes of Radiohead, the intricate instrumentation of Sigur Rós, and the melodic sensibilities of Fleetwood Mac. They also cite electronic music pioneers like Aphex Twin and contemporary indie artists such as Bon Iver and Sufjan Stevens as significant influences on their songwriting and production techniques.

The band consists of five members: lead vocalist and guitarist Alex Rivers, drummer Jamie Lee, bassist Sam Carter, keyboardist Ella Moore, and guitarist Ben Jacobs. They are known for their immersive live shows, often characterized by visual projections that enhance the atmosphere of their music.
