Karen Lee Orzolek (born November 22, 1978) is an American singer, songwriter and director who is the lead vocalist of the indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs. She was a key artist of the 2000s garage rock and post-punk revivals, noted for her energetic performances and eccentric fashion.
Karen O's accolades with Yeah Yeah Yeahs include nominations for five Grammy Awards, and her solo work has netted her nominations for three additional Grammys, an Academy Award, three Critics' Choice Awards and a Golden Globe Award.
