Shaun William George Ryder (born 23 August 1962) is an English singer, songwriter, and television personality. As the lead vocalist of the rock band Happy Mondays, he was a leading figure in the Madchester cultural scene during the late 1980s and early 1990s. In 1993, he formed Black Grape with former Happy Mondays dancer Bez.
